Professor Akin Oyebode is an erudite scholar and Professor of International Law and Jurisprudence. He was the pioneer Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ado-Ekiti.
Prof. Oyebode is a member of the Board of Directors of the African and African-American Foundation on Science, Education and Economic Development Inc.; Centre for Advanced Social Science; Chair of the Board of Trustees, Women Advocates Research and Documentation Centre; Chair, International Advisory Board, Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law; Consultant, UN Office for Outer Space Affairs, Vienna; former Chair, Catholic Secretariat Think-Tank. He was appointed by the African Union to draft the Convention on Cross-border Cooperation in Africa.
He is a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs; Fellow Nigerian Institute of Management; former Member of the Governing Council, Nigerian Institute of International Affairs; former Member.
